Organisation name: South Essex Community School Limited
Company number: 7954295
Year ended 31 August 2014

I accept, that as accounting officer of South Essex Community School Limited, I am responsible and accountable for ensuring that the academy trust delivers good value in the use of public resources. I am aware of the guide to academy value for money statements published by the Education Funding Agency and understand that value for money refers to the educational and wider societal outcomes achieved in return for the taxpayer resources received.

I set out below how I have ensured that the academy trust's use of its resources has provided good value for money during the academic year.

As the accounting officer, I work closely with the Board of Governors and the Chief Finance Officer to ensure that we adhere to the policies, procedures and regulations set out by the Education Funding Agency. Quality of provision is of paramount importance to the school and best value principles are adopted to drive up standards and service provided to our students.

Resources, both in terms of human and physical, are regular agenda items on the board meetings, senior leadership meetings through to staff meetings.
